PoorNewsNetwork / Dads in Trauma - Stories for Fathers Day

Daveion with his family

It was a hot Indian summer day in 1996 17th, of sept

when my father dropped me off at school. He said,

“Son have a good day,” and i gave him a kiss on the cheek.

it was a good day, and then the bell rang for school to let out and as i sat on the steps watching kids get picked up by their parents I was still there just waiting.

My father never came. He died that day of a massive heart attack and stroke. I was only 10 years old.

Beautiful Memories

CHOICES

The first time i got to hold my daughter there was an instant connection. I love my children
