Reggie's Corner Rap - Spring Is Green

Whew! I am drinking a hot cup of herbal lemon tea, out on this cold corner people are passing by to catch the buses. Noisy traffic is darting out in every direction of the city. It's been a long cold winter but today I can see some sunshine, tis the middle of February .

February is the most strangest month of the year. According to wikipedia: " February was named after the latin term februum, which means purification, via the purification ritual Februa held on February 15 (full moon) in the old lunar Roman calender."

To Weep or Not to Weep

To Weep or Not to Weep

"Aw,go on ahead now, child, and just cry..."

Profiling: Stop! Put your (BLACK) hands over your (BLACK) head

On Sunday morning 1-9-11 about six -thirty AM, I left the Bread of Life Mission to sell real Change papers. As I was heading to the Starbucks coffee shop, Iwas startled like a moose by bright shining lights. There was at least four police cars shining bright lights on me.

Existence

I am.
I am enough.
It's enough that I am.

I see.
I see enough.
It's enough that I see.

I believe.
I believe enough.
It's enough that I believe.

I am.
I see.
I believe.

May I Serve You?

Through service we grow
in love, deeper and deeper
for so many we touch unaware.
Every so often we must step
back, and then
leave plateaus for higher mastery.
Is this what growing into the mystery
is?
God always suspending us over the abyss
with a child's hands

Reggie's Corner Rap - Invisibility

As the year winds down to the holiday season, I look forward to the compassion and cheer that I get from the people who don't forget vendors who work hard to sell Real Change paper. They show appreciation by giving gifts, holiday cards, and bigger tips. I am thankful for their action to help.

Tips for Street Vendors

It's a little before 9pm. I had a great day selling Real Change papers and meeting new people.Man, am I hungry for a pizza! I sell 600 papers a month, attend writing and art classes. Also, I write blogs and articles. The truth is, I am too busy to know I am busy, and that's good.
  • Speaking of good, I got some good tips on how I built and grew my Real Change vendor business through the worstiest times we face, that makes Holloween look like jelly beans. Smile and take notes, this stuff works, here it go:

spiritual reflection in a poem

A Tesseract's Wings
Seeing built out of long river bends
A hypercube bursting out of being
Embracing charred reflections
Burned from red and blue impressions
A child accidentally realizing a butterflies' mortality
Adult's hands of stretched and torn repeated mirroring
...an assembly of mysterious yellow rejections
Built from faulty traditions...beheading rotten
statues of times without honor
