Somebody Else's Slave: Use of the "N" Word.

Picture credited from the book "Capitalist Nigger" by Chika Onyeani. It is featured online www.proverbmusic.net/.../

Note: The following story I’ve written is not aimed as a direct attack on ANY specific race, whatsoever. It is people’s (including my own) experience, reflection, and especially survival from a word/weapon. Historically, it has destroyed human beings.

WHAT PART OF "KILLED UNARMED BLACK MAN = MURDER" DOESN'T Oakland Po'Lice UNDERSTAND ?

Another Unarmed Black Brother, Derrick Jones, 37, a loved Oakland barbershop owner and father of an infant girl,
met a violent death on  November .8, 2010, shot and killed by OPD (2 white officers involved), while "fleeing", after they "thought" they saw a metallic object in his hand.

I am NOT a modern day slave!

As I write this story I can now begin to sit back and recall the days when I drifted in and out of homelessness.  I found it to be very strange that one can become homeless, and even though I had been able to find gainful employment, I still found myself living in shelters.

"Why me, what have I done? What do these people want from ME?!"

"Can somebody do something about this?!"

"All of this because I submitted a piece of paper, in telling the truth of what's been going on?!"

"When will it stop? My body is in so much unexplainable pain........ALL BECAUSE I SPOKE OUT!"

94 and Still Homeless

A family in poverty, Larry, Bessie and Charlie, vs. the System and Poli-tricks

Marlon Crump/Poverty Scholar/POOR Magazine
Tuesday, October 24, 2006;

The walls are covered by a collage of pictures of people who have fallen as a result of San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) violence; mostly black youth and youth of color whose lives were stolen and cut short. Set within the walls is a feeling of revolution and liberation and also a deep sadness.

The Idriss Stelley Foundation (ISF) is a safe haven as well as an underground railroad for people who have been brutalized by the SFPD.
