Poor Magazine has incorporated healthy eating among our youth, indigenous and poverty scholars by offering healthy, organic food during meetings, community gatherings, protests, and, of course, as an act of resistance to the corporate attack on our health by agribusiness and food processors.  We are eating in a healthy way to honor Pachamama, our ancestors and our bodies.

Healing our Communities, Families and Children one 'hood at a time

Young man of color resists neighborhood violence and poverty to share message of peace, healing and self-protection with poor communities of color in California.

RYME- Revolutionary Youth Media Education

RYME- Revolutionary Youth Media Education for youth 12-19 years old.

The RYME program includes radio, video and on-line journalism (blog) production as well as poetry, performance and theatre, organizing and consciousness on poverty, racism, migration, police brutality and liberation

All classes are taught bi-lingually and include lunch

Full scholarship and stipends offerred to low-income youth.

Program begins June 7th-Space is limited. Registration deadline is May 15th.
