A Joke

Working for C & H Security is a trip. Been doing it little less than a year. You meet all kinds: people that have worked in other professions, traveled extensively by plane, train, bus or by not even leaving the ground. In security you are told your primary function is to observe and report; you’re told to be on the lookout for suspicious looking persons and/or activity. Some guys who do the job take it much too seriously, as if auditioning to appear on the TV show “Cops” (as the pursuer, not the pursued, of course).

Happy Birthday Uncle Al

February 16th is Uncle Al's Birthday. Uncle Al was a person who made things happen. But he did it in such a way, in such subtle ways, that before you knew it, what needed to be done was done, what needed to be said was said and what was needed most was provided for.

Two-Spirits: a movie about Fred Martinez Jr

Mari V. Tuesday, April 13, 2010;

When I was little, I always knew my biological father was different than other dads. I used to tell my childhood friends, "My Dad acts like your Mom." I remember the times when he would realize he would seem more feminine and then try to 'buck up' and act more masculine. I thought it was always funny, and didn't really understand it when I was little. I remember telling him, "Dad, I like it more when your like a girl instead of you trying to be a boy."

The Sun you clouded, the Sons you ousted

It was all here for you to feast

But you shared your crops and lives, even died for the nature of the beast.

fruit from the poisonous tree

Replaced by sons hung who grew land

Every single seed in it sad, sullen, and

Seething by the misdeeds, and acts of man

Seeds of man, seeds of woman

stricken with sicknesses to slow death

Health in the greeds, in the hands of wealth

The sun you clouded, the sons you ousted

Round ray of light for existence,

in great peril from the fires ignited
