Houseless San Franciscans to Mayor Lee & Supervisor Weiner: Give Us Land or We Aren't Going Anywhere

What: Homeless San Francisco Residents of Tents Release Their own Data and Demand land and stolen resources back to live safely without arrest and build their own Housing
When: 10am Thursday, January 28th
Where: 14th and Trainor streets in San Francisco behind Office Max

Tent City WeSearch Statement & Demands:
SF Mayor Ed Lie and Supervisor Scott Weiner claim they want "homeless people" to "go away" for the multi-billion dollar plantation sports event called The Superbowl. We the houseless, displaced gentrFUKed, evicted, criminalized, disabled and now living on the streets in Tents, Cardboard motels and tarps are demanding the return of thousands of dollars stolen by "sweeps" of our medicine and belongings as well as open land that we can set up our tents or build our own housing - this would be modeled after the Homefulness project - a poor people-led solution to Homelessness

While hundreds of houseless people in San Francisco are removed, harassed and their belongings are stolen to make way for the Superbowl Houseless folks release their own data and demands for poor people-led solutions to houselessness-and the retrun of thousands of dollars stolen from them by DPW sweeps

Tent City WeSearch Date and Demands will be released at this emergency press conference held at the locaiton of hundreds of houseless peoples homes.

One of the Models that Houseless residents are proposing to the City of San Francisco which has continued to criminalize their bodies and sleep is Homefulness- a poor people-led solution to Homelessness being built by poor and houseless folks in Oakland. There are multiple parcels of unused public land that could be used for a shared equity permanent housing project for poor families, youth and elders

The City of San Francisco is slated to pay millions of dollars in fees to the SuperBowl industry which is already a multi-billion dollar industry. One /16th of these fees would support housing and land for houseless folks.

WeSearch is a poor people-led form of research created by POOR Magazine/Prensa POBRE

We invite all organizations and folks to join in to support these demands and stand with us.
