Home is Where the Heart Is

I was only two years old when I came to the United States from New Zealand. At that time I had no idea what was happening or where we were going. I just knew we were suppose to be going somewhere that will change our lives for the best.

I don’t remember much of how I came here, I just knew that one day I’m in my homeland and the next I'm in a strange place that I’ve never been before.

From Honduras To America

I am Heidy. I come from a Honduran family. Honduras is in Central America I was born outside of the U.S. therefore im an “illegal alien” as they kindly put it in the United States. I was brought here when I was 3 years old. The root cause for leaving Honduras was because of violence. I don’t really remember how my journey here was. I’m sure it wasn’t in a first class airplane.

Appropriation Versus Reparations - the Sci-Fi Horror Movie Called Rachel D.

White culture isn’t good for anyone even white people, “ the words of my mixed race ghetto skola mama sailed through my ears when the sci-fi horror movie called Rachel Dolizol unfolded. As the white skinned daughter of a mixed race, disabled,, houseless, single mama I have always claimed my wite-skin privilege. I have named its infiltration powers and the ways this deeply racist, amerikkklan society stolen by settler colonizers who look like me have continued their legislative, education and institutional terror over everyone of color.
